This guide is an ongoing list of hobbyist recommendations for vacationers heading to the South Okanagan (Naramata, Penticton, OK Falls, Oliver, Osoyoos). As one of our favorite weekend getaway destinations we are constantly adding things to the list so check back regularly for new suggestions and we will do our best to cover all your favorite hobbies.
Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre – featuring a rammed earth wall that samples local soils from the area to create a striation of colours that reflect the surrounding landscaped this building is designed by the former Hotsok Bakker Boniface Haden (now Dialogue).
Miradoro Restaurant – this restaurant at Tinhorn Creek is an absolute must visit chef Jeff van Geest whips up some heavenly meals-stay tuned for our review

Poplar Grove Cheese (Naramata)
Covert Farms (Oliver) – one of the best organic farms on the area and a great location for a lunch when touring the Oliver/Osoyoos area.
La Frenz Winery (Naramata) – everything they do is fantastic! Be sure to try their Alexandria Muscat, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and their port.
Kettle Valley Winery (Naramata)- some of our favorite BC wines – be sure to try the Gewurztraminer slushies!
Poplar Grove (Naramata) – some delciious higher end reds.
Lake Breeze (Naramata) – a great lunch location and a delicious pinot blanc.
Tinhorn Creek (Oliver) – some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon you’ll find.
Black Hills Estate (Oliver) – while a seat is hard to come by try and get a spot for one of their private tastings. You’ll try some great wines and even enjoy some barrel samples.
Dunham Froese Winery (Oliver) – visit their tasting room at Covert farms and you can enjoy a glass of wine with some authentic mexican food.
